About the Role

The Global Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development, implementation, and measurement of a strategic, integrated marketing communications plan that aligns with Nordson Packaging's strategic goals and yearly operating plan initiatives. This role is critical in driving the reputation and profitable growth and will ensure a balanced approach to both online and offline marketing strategies, leveraging diverse communication channels to maximize impact. The position involves strategic leadership in brand identity evolution, overseeing a global team, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to support long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing communications plan that builds brand reputation, supports profitable growth targets, and balances online and offline marketing tactics.
  • Drive innovative digital marketing initiatives including SEO, CRM integration, personalization, lead scoring, and analytics, while managing traditional communication channels such as trade shows and print collateral.
  • Lead the evolution of Nordson Packaging's brand identity to reflect market leadership and align with long-term vision.
  • Oversee creation of marketing collateral like brochures, videos, presentations, animations, and case studies to support product promotion and sales.
  • Manage all aspects of web presence, including content updates, SEO, and analytics, ensuring seamless integration with CRM tools.
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies, including building relationships with trade media and managing press releases and thought leadership pieces.
  • Plan and implement traditional and digital advertising campaigns to enhance brand awareness and generate measurable outcomes.
  • Support trade show initiatives with consistent messaging and impactful materials.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to engage audiences and monitor industry trends.
  • Lead a global team of marketing professionals and external vendors, fostering collaboration and leveraging team strengths.
  • Identify and develop team members' capabilities to maximize engagement and impact.
  • Assess and evolve Nordson Packaging's brand identity to ensure it reflects market leadership and long-term vision.
  • Monitor competitor communication strategies to identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Establish and track metrics to measure communication strategy effectiveness and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual communications budget aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Division leadership and Corporate Communications to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support internal communications to disseminate key messages across the organization.
  • Assist in marketing integration of acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with company standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial, commercial, or agency marketing communications experience.
  • Experience in developing global marketing communication programs.
  • Strong strategic vision and tactical execution skills.
  • Outstanding writing, speaking, presenting, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Sitecore CMS, Google Analytics.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work in a global environment with diverse internal and external colleagues and customers.
  • Cultural awareness.
  • Influencing, project management, strategic agility, adaptability, team building, leadership skills, empowered decision-making, and a take-charge attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Additional professional designations such as APR, ABC, PCM or similar.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and CRM systems.
