Market Data Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the administration, onboarding, and offboarding of market data and research services, ensuring timely resolution of access issues and alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Legal, Compliance, Finance) and external vendors to manage workflows, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong business relationships.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects, including data integration, system rollouts, upgrades, and acquisitions. Maintain and enhance process documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory of vendor services including user entitlements, ensuring data quality and supporting budget reporting and cost allocation.
• Utilize business intelligence tools to perform data analysis, generate reports, and support vendor and exchange reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of best practices, data governance, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Act as a key point of contact for user inquiries, onboarding communications, and escalations related to subscriptions, billing, and service issues.
• Monitor industry trends and participate in market data activities to ensure the firm remains aligned with best practices and evolving capabilities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the broader goals of the Investment Operations organization at Boston Partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required; completion or progress towards Master's degree or industry designations desired but not required.
• 3-5 years of investment operations experience working in a market data and/or project management role.
• Proficiency with Optimize Spend (FITS) or an equivalent tool is highly preferred.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills, ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
• Experience working with Market Data Vendor applications such as FactSet, Eikon/Workspace, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct etc. in addition to knowledge of vendors, exchanges and Index providers is preferred.
• Willingness to work 5 days in office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as required.

Nice to Have
