Market Development Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Creating the strategic vision for growth in the bioprocessing space and setting the innovation roadmap to deliver on that vision.
• Developing and implementing a strategic plan to drive profitable growth with new products and offerings in the bioprocessing space.
• Collaborating with customers, operations, sales, engineering, and market development to identify and articulate opportunities to stakeholders.
• Supporting activities associated with setting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including reporting and orders forecasting.
• Acting as a key customer advocate to support the sales team, remove internal obstacles, and ensure alignment with key customer needs.
• Maintaining relationships with industry thought leaders to gather voice of customer insights and test value proposition hypotheses.
• Performing competitive benchmarking, market share and trend analysis, and developing market insights through research and analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years working in Bioprocessing or a closely related space.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area; MBA or MS preferred.
• 5+ years of product management or market management experience, with at least four years in developing or commercializing new products for life sciences.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Ability to understand and demonstrate technical products.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a technical environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
