About the Role

The Marketing Cloud Solution Consultant serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, guiding clients through the design and delivery of integrated solutions across Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud. In this role, you will leverage deep expertise in solution architecture to provide actionable recommendations that align customer acquisition efforts with a unified data strategy. Acting as both an Engagement Consultant and Email Specialist, you will audit existing campaigns, plan and implement advanced segmentation strategies, design scalable email templates, and ensure the seamless execution of cross-channel marketing initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. The Marketing Cloud Solution Consultant will work closely with Verndale Project Managers and Project Lead Engineers to interpret and document client goals to ultimately enable the authoring/development of quality solutions that meet the requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through the implementation of Marketing Cloud solutions.
  • Define the Marketing Cloud automation strategy and roadmap.
  • Interview client stakeholders to understand their business problems and translate them into solution requirements.
  • Translate business requirements that best leverage the Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Architect high-performing campaigns in the form of landing pages, email campaigns, and SMS blasts.
  • Develop solutions for optimized Marketing forms and email deliverability.
  • Design integration needs and ensure all necessary Marketing tech stack is connected.
  • Advise marketers on experimenting and testing techniques to optimize results and conversions.
  • Advise on technology and platform integration solutions to improve marketing automation, predictive intelligence, content management, and customer data platform.
  • Use Sales Cloud data to create personalized ad campaigns.
  • Provide solutions that produce constant data insights across departments.
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions.
  • Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality.
  • Implement platform modules leveraging best practices for lead scoring, conversion rates, and segmentation.
  • Draft custom development specifications and drive delivery and testing of functionality.
  • Provide hands-on technical assistance to developers and collaborate on technical design and implementation.
  • Design and manage the execution of test plans to ensure quality delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Marketing systems and data analytics experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of Marketing Cloud platform experience.
  • Sales Cloud experience preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes across disparate systems.
  • Excellent client-facing, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strength in business analysis to uncover business processes and procedures.
  • Active Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant and/or Email Specialist certification(s).
  • Data Cloud to marketing platforms integration experience a plus.

  • Sales Cloud experience.
