About the Role

The Marketing and eCommerce Data Analyst is a hands-on data-driven role designed to optimize omni-channel retail and e-commerce marketing efforts. This role analyzes information from multiple sources working with the team to identify key insights, and craft compelling data stories that drive strategic business decisions. This position will be hybrid with 3 days in the office (Monday through Wednesday). Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet, with over 730 locations in 44 states, offering a friendly, neighborhood-style environment that values innovation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated reporting, dashboards, and visualizations using SQL, Power BI, and Excel to track marketing campaign performance and customer behavior.
  • Analyze multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, paid media, and digital efforts, to measure performance metrics such as response rates, conversion rates, ROI, and customer retention.
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and present findings to marketing leadership, senior executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with marketing, e-commerce, finance, and IT teams to support data-driven strategies that enhance customer acquisition and retention.
  • Continuously refine data extraction, cleansing, and analytics processes, identifying new ways to leverage analytics for marketing growth.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience in a data analytics or marketing analytics role, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, data extraction, and creating tables).
  • Experience working with Azure databases.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, Segmentation, and statistical concepts related to Marketing Analytics.
  • Solid understanding of customer lifecycle analysis and audience targeting methodologies.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into clear and impactful recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs) or marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, and Looker Studio are a plus.
