Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Automation Specialist will lead integrated email automation tied to student engagement lifecycle and journey initiatives, taking primary responsibility for the ongoing build development, analysis, and day-to-day execution of this fast-growing channel. They will be responsible for identifying and testing strategies to help shape effective automation campaigns and workflows for a variety of brand units, including partner schools, The Software Guild, Advancement Courses, and mthree. The role involves analyzing results and presenting solutions to improve the effectiveness of automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic automation plans and the end-to-end production and deployment of various promotional emails, including planning, targeting, segmentation, scheduling, set-up/coding, testing, design/creative, copy writing, and overall campaign status reporting.
  • Develop segmentation strategies and leverage consumer insights to improve key KPIs.
  • Continuously optimize email workflows to drive higher returns with A/B testing of subject lines, message content, images, offers, landing pages, mailing frequency, segments and more.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to create optimized templates and content based on previous testing and trends analysis.
  • Leverage CRM and behavioral data to drive customer segmentation/profiling, touch point prioritization, and messaging understanding.
  • Analyze and report on email campaign results and KPIs, highlighting successes, trends, and opportunities.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly campaign performance reporting to deliver actionable insights and recommendations for future strategies.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams, vendor partners, and consultants to ensure platform performance and achievement of objectives.
  • Monitor internal testing results, deliverability metrics, and industry best practices to optimize email results, deliverability, compliance, and email hygiene.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with three to five years' experience in email marketing, CRM, marketing automation, and marketing operations.
  • Experience building, deploying, and managing lifecycle and transactional email campaigns using ESP/marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with lead scoring models, workflows, templates, lead import/maintenance, and A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of email creative best practices, targeting/segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, and working knowledge of HTML/CSS, graphic design/layout.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and email testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot, Delivra, Salesforce, and/or Oracle Eloqua is a plus.
  • Positive, energetic team player with strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker who enjoys solving unstructured problems and turning data into actionable insights.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Hubspot, Delivra, Salesforce, and/or Oracle Eloqua.
