About the Role

The role of the Marketing Coordinator involves supporting agency development efforts through marketing, activity logistics, stakeholder stewardship, and branding consistency across social media, print, and digital media. Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and maintains agency marketing materials for development and program services, including social media, flyers, newsletters, and informational packets.
  • Broadens social networking and website presence through regular postings and updates.
  • Scans social media, print media, and news outlets for pertinent agency information and directs relevant information to executive staff or the Director of Development.
  • Prepares press releases and media updates for agency activities and events.
  • Maintains contact information and essential data in the agency development database.
  • Provides logistical support for development activities, including silent auctions, event setup, volunteer organization, and participation.
  • Engages staff in event participation and promotes understanding of marketing and development events.
  • Participates in committees, task forces, and meetings as assigned.
  • Develops and maintains volunteers for reception and development activities.
  • Provides post-event acknowledgments to participants, volunteers, and sponsors.
  • Manages third-party structured events and internal marketing events as assigned.
  • Partners with the development team to create and execute the agency’s marketing strategy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, or related field (preferred).
  • One year of experience in event planning or related activities.
  • Professional social media and website management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Google Ads and social media advertising.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solution-focused approach to conflict and challenges.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, collaborating agencies, and the public.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model culturally competent behavior.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Business communication, written and verbal, etiquette.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
  • Group presentation skills.
  • Stakeholder stewardship skills.
  • Creative and solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in professional social media activities including Google Ads and social media advertising.
  • Experience in event planning or related activities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Florida Driver's License and proof of insurance.
  • Ongoing reliable transportation for work-related activities.
