About the Role

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. The role is based in Dallas, TX, within AT&T's Marketing & Growth Organization. The Marketing Lead, Planning and Analytics, supports these goals by leading data-driven marketing investment planning, budget optimization, and cross-product investment frameworks to maximize revenue and strategic growth. The role involves collaborating with various teams, providing strategic insights, and communicating effectively with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering closely with finance and marketing analytics teams to establish unified, actionable metrics for ongoing measurement and optimization.
  • Providing competitive benchmarking, market intelligence, and thought leadership on marketing-to-sales ratios and budgeting best practices to inform strategic investment decisions.
  • Delivering strategic budget and spend recommendations that optimize spend thresholds to drive measurable performance outcomes.
  • Continuously monitoring market and business indicators to adjust marketing budgets responsively throughout the fiscal year.
  • Providing expert consultation and strategic insights to marketing teams and Business Units to inform budget decisions and realign investments with evolving business needs.
  • Designing and executing a cross-product marketing investment framework that prioritizes spend based on comprehensive revenue analytics and enterprise-wide growth objectives.
  • Advising on prioritization strategies that integrate inputs from both Consumer and Business segments, ensuring alignment with overarching revenue goals and maximizing growth impact across AT&T's portfolio.
  • Developing a holistic, analytics-driven methodology that balances enterprise-level targets with individual product campaigns, allocating marketing investments to maximize revenue and strategic priorities.
  • Delivering clear, data-backed insights and updates to senior leadership, including the Head of Marketing Planning & Operations and lines of business leads.
  • Representing the marketing budgeting and planning process in executive forums, ensuring transparency and alignment with AT&T's strategic financial goals.

Requirements

  • Strategy, business intelligence, and analytics experience in a leading role for 3+ years.
  • Brand finance, management experience in multi-product consumer and/or B2B companies.
  • Expertise in marketing organizations and understanding of marketing knowledge base at a Fortune 500 company.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to spot trends and provide recommendations to the business.
  • Experience in developing and recommending marketing investment strategies across a portfolio of products and/or business lines.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience working with complex budget allocations, cost forecasting, and reconciliation.
  • Extensive experience analyzing annual marketing budgets.
  • Ability to communicate recommendations from a marketer's perspective while addressing concerns and utilizing information from finance and business intelligence teams.
  • Experience collaborating with organizations of 250-300+ employees.
  • Experience stewarding and analyzing budgets of $250M+.
  • Executive presence to inspire confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with teams.
  • Change agent capable of driving positive cultural change at AT&T.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company or similar large-scale organization.
  • Knowledge of marketing-to-sales ratios and budgeting best practices.
  • Experience with multi-product or multi-segment marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of strategy, business intelligence, and analytics experience in a leading role.
  • Experience managing budgets of $250M+.
  • Experience in marketing organizations within multi-product consumer and/or B2B companies.
