Marketing Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver marketing responsibilities for the Construction and Carpet segments within Polymers.
• Align long-term strategic objectives across market teams to achieve regional revenue and profit targets.
• Define and execute regional business strategies that link to global market strategies.
• Manage complex markets with different competitive structures and value propositions, including high levels of change.
• Interface regularly with global organizations and regional teams, especially within Central America, on key contracts and topics.
• Lead negotiations of large Polymer contracts and extend contracting and negotiation expertise across marketing, business, and sales teams.
• Explore and strategize entry into new or adjacent markets for business growth by positioning existing or new products and technologies.
• Establish effective working relationships with representatives across the broader WACKER organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; MS degree in technical or business field preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience; ideally 10+ years in sales and marketing management or roles supporting these functions.
• Broad business background in sales, marketing, technology, commercial development, and supply chain functions.
• Experience operating in a highly matrixed global organization, preferably in specialty chemical markets.
• Significant experience managing large complex customers and expanding key positions at market-leading accounts.
• Experience working with technology organizations focused on product development, application development, technical service, and asset optimization.
• Exceptional leadership and influence skills, especially in a matrixed organization.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and accountable for business results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to drive change and translate strategic direction into actionable objectives.
• Personnel and team organization skills, with experience managing in multi-cultural settings.
• Working knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferably in a technical discipline such as Chemistry or Engineering.
