About the Role

The Marketing Manager (Linkage Channel) manages the day-to-day activities and develops the overall competence and performance of the marketing workforce. The role involves delegating work, recruiting, training, motivating, coaching, managing conflict, analyzing data, developing strategies to increase tours, and building relationships with sales management and the sales force. The position requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure effective marketing and sales performance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and performance of the marketing workforce through delegation, coaching, and performance management.
  • Analyze data and reports to monitor tour flow and team/unit performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans including budget considerations, site goals, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with marketing operations and other site marketing programs on new initiatives to increase production.
  • Develop strategies and incentive programs to meet or exceed budgeted numbers.
  • Identify trends when production is not meeting expectations and implement solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sales management, the sales force, resort operations, hotel linkage, and vendors.
  • Prepare for and conduct team meetings, measure team performance, and hold team members accountable.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, recognition, and motivation to marketing team members.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews, develop individual development plans, and manage performance issues.
  • Mediate conflicts within teams and between marketing and sales teams.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures related to workflow, lead distribution, reward, and discipline.
  • Participate in the selection process for new team members.
  • Manage marketing collateral and supplies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar marketing or management position.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English; additional language skills may be required.
  • Willingness to work in close contact with the public in sales and marketing situations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Openness to adapt to different cultural contexts based on location.
  • Travel 20% to 50% of the time.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies and programs.
  • Experience in building relationships with sales and operational teams.
  • Ability to analyze reports and identify trends.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing concepts and strategies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with resort operations, hotel linkage, or OPC vendors.
  • Knowledge of state and federal marketing regulations.
  • Experience with marketing and sales tools such as PMS, SFA, NGS, Delphi, Point of Sale, HR technology.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED, or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
