The Marketing Analytics and Technology team supports the Business Unit Marketing and Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience teams by measuring and assessing marketing strategies to drive growth and efficiency. The team enables analysts with data, tools, frameworks, and reporting to generate insights and report on performance. The Marketing Mix Modeling Product Owner leads the strategy, delivery, and adoption of vendor-based MMM capabilities, defining and managing the product roadmap to inform marketing decisions, optimize investments, and improve business outcomes. The role involves collaboration with marketing analytics, finance, data science, and engineering teams to ensure models provide actionable, trusted, and timely insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for MMM capabilities aligned with business objectives.
  • Prioritize feature development and enhancements based on business value, feasibility, and stakeholder input.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate MMM outputs into planning, forecasting, and optimization processes.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal teams supporting marketing, finance, analytics, and engineering.
  • Gather, refine, and prioritize requirements to ensure MMM outputs answer key business questions.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder workshops to capture evolving needs and ensure adoption.
  • Own the MMM product backlog; manage epics, stories, and tasks with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Lead sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Partner with the vendor, data scientists, and modelers to guide model design, refreshes, validation, and deployment.
  • Design processes and tools to integrate MMM outputs into marketing planning and budget allocation.
  • Drive scenario planning leveraging MMM outputs for what-if analyses and optimization.
  • Define and track success metrics for MMM, including accuracy, ROI impact, and user adoption.
  • Oversee model calibration and validation processes, including experimentation results.
  • Translate complex model outputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and summaries to build trust and literacy in MMM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement, MMM methodologies, and optimization processes.
  • Experience working with data science and engineering teams to deliver analytic products.
  • Proficiency in agile delivery frameworks and product backlog management.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence and align stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop a product roadmap well into the future and understand business goals.
  • Technical skills that drive efficiency, automation, and innovation.
  • Experience in experimentation and how it can be utilized to enrich MMM.
  • Knowledge of MMM and its integration with experimentation and attribution frameworks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, banking, CPG, or similar industries with large-scale marketing investments.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing analytics tools, scenario planners, or MMM software.
  • Certification in Product Management, Agile (Scrum PO), or similar frameworks.
  • Deep marketing and business acumen to translate requirements into model outputs.
  • Strong knowledge of MMM and its integration with experimentation and attribution frameworks.
  • Ability to drive adoption and change management in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
