About the Role

The Marketing Operations Manager will play a key role in managing and enhancing marketing technology systems, ensuring optimal configuration, process optimization, and driving automation and AI opportunities. The role supports growth and scalability by improving lead management, campaign execution, and data hygiene, collaborating across teams to leverage marketing systems effectively. This position is based in San Diego, California, and involves managing SaaS tools such as Marketo and 6sense within a high-performing marketing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator for key marketing tools (e.g., Marketo, 6sense), ensuring optimal configuration and adherence to platform best practices.
  • Manage renewal and procurement for Tier 2 marketing technologies, collaborating with procurement and legal teams to ensure timely renewals and budget alignment.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes related to lead management, campaign execution, and data hygiene to drive operational excellence, enhance scalability, and support business growth.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered features and automation opportunities across marketing technologies to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation, and assist in guiding cross-functional teams to utilize marketing systems effectively and follow established processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing operations within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience with key marketing platforms, including Marketo, Salesforce, 6Sense, Marketo Measure, Drift, etc.
  • Experience managing SaaS renewals and collaborating with procurement and legal teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and automation strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to assess complex workflows and implement scalable, repeatable processes that improve operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of lead generation, nurturing, and lead/account scoring processes.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and commitment to compliance and data handling best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI and automation tools beyond marketing platforms.
  • Additional certifications or training in marketing technology or automation.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS marketing operations role.
