This role provides Project Management leadership, responsible for end-to-end Product Development projects, leading cross-functional teams with KPIs such as Launch on Time, Budget, Cost & Quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of managing 2-3 complex projects with successful project planning & execution to meet project charters and internal as well as customer requirements.
  • Manage & develop a team of 3-6 project managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and creating individual development plans.
  • Envision the BU/segment future & develop and implement PMO operational strategy.
  • Drive a diverse and inclusive workplace by recognizing and respecting individual differences and perspectives.
  • Identify and manage stakeholder expectations, setting up cadence with stakeholders for smooth project execution.
  • Manage project capital, expense, and resource expenditures to stay within budget and meet financial metrics.
  • Create, monitor, and control risk management plans for projects.
  • Support economic analysis including alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, and cost calculations.
  • Develop project communication plans, lead management-level project reviews, report progress, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop project schedules, resource requirements, and budget forecasts; track and report on project progress and product costs.
  • Perform integrated change management control.
  • Address and resolve issues or impediments in projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing processes and implement new project components.
  • Monitor internal resources, resolve operational issues, and ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate or master's degree in engineering with 15-18 years of experience.
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience in industrial product or hardware domain.
  • Experience managing distributed and multi-cultural teams.
  • In-depth understanding of Toll Gate / Stage Gate process in product development.
  • Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics.
  • Experience managing teams, including performance management, rewards, and recognition.
  • Experience in staffing, mentoring, and coaching teams.
  • Extensive stakeholder management and requirement management experience.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes such as moulding, stamping, and plating.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Experience leading teams to success, collaborating across boundaries, and developing communication and responsibility matrices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with project ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period).
  • Certified PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to regulatory approval processes such as UL, CSA, CQC, VDE.
  • Experience in terminal and connector industry or products.
  • Exposure to Agile Project Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
