About the Role

The Missile Command and Control (C2) Software Development Team Product Owner (PO) will work within the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) on the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) project. The role involves prioritizing and validating development software for the Track Identification Services (TIS) team, which is responsible for identification and classification of tracks in C2 software. The PO will review systems engineering concepts, provide guidance to the development team, and communicate with leadership on project status, risks, and impacts on the mission.

Key Responsibilities

Prioritize and validate development software for the TIS team in alignment with project goals.
Review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms related to C2 systems.
Provide guidance to the development team based on acceptance criteria and participate in code reviews.
Work directly with Agile software developers to ensure project objectives are met.
Present technical briefings and advisement to leadership regarding system status, risks, and recommended actions.

Requirements

Good understanding of CID (Classification, Identification and Discrimination) used in C2 systems including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
Ability to oversee the development team and verify their work based on acceptance criteria.
Experience working directly with Agile software developers.
Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics.
Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience performing related duties.
U.S. citizenship.

Nice to Have

Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
Familiarity with current CID measures in one or more DoD services.
Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience.
