Job Description

About the Role

The Multimedia Impact Manager will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to support The Worker's mission, vision, and growth. The role involves program support, marketing, and communications responsibilities, including content creation, client engagement, and trendspotting. The position requires a creative, organized, and people-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects independently while contributing to community building and awareness efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the program team and leadership to track client success stories and milestones
  • Work directly with The Worker's external PR agency to share media opportunities, align messaging, and provide materials
  • Assist with internal communications across departments, keeping team members informed and inspired
  • Capture and create photos, videos, and written content from The Worker events, client interactions, and community outreach
  • Be comfortable on camera for interviews, social media reels, or behind-the-scenes stories
  • Generate content ideas, draft scripts, and produce posts for The Worker's social media platforms
  • Oversee and ensure social media account growth
  • Identify opportunities for community building and awareness

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Drafting scripts for platform-specific content
  • Comfort with being photographed or filmed for social media
  • Experience with photo/video/audio editing using Canva, CapCut, or Adobe and Dropbox media management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience using Google Sheets or other project tracking tools
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, people-centered environment
  • Self-starter mindset with creative energy and a collaborative spirit
  • Travel between The Worker sites for meetings, trainings, or coverage purposes
  • Availability for evening or weekend hours on an as-needed basis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to hire
  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Background in nonprofit communications, marketing, PR, or journalism
  • Experience in Graphic design in Canva or Adobe Illustrator
