About the Role

As part of Cigna's Risk Management and Underwriting (RMUW) organization, the Client Strategy, Consulting and Analytics organization is committed to providing our external clients with analytical reporting and consultation that is relevant and actionable. The organization provides insights that enable employers to make strategic decisions regarding Cigna's products and services. The role involves conducting research for clients, articulating findings, and working in a consultative manner to support enterprise growth goals. The position serves as the external face of Cigna's analytic capabilities, delivering customized presentations and insights-driven recommendations to clients to help mitigate trends and improve client wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultative analysis of client data to prepare clear, concise, and actionable client-specific reporting for external audiences.
  • Gather data, translate it into actionable solutions, and deliver insights in a story-like manner to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Synthesize data into meaningful conclusions through specialized analyses to support client decision-making.
  • Identify potential Cigna programs and services that could benefit the client.
  • Assist clients or Sales teams with customized reporting tailored to specific geographic or population segments.
  • Lead and deliver presentations to clients, internal teams, and external consultants, typically in person, during scheduled meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure understanding of reporting capabilities and analytics to support program initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on various special projects throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience with demonstrated business results in client-facing roles and analytical/technical knowledge.
  • Expertise in Excel and strong experience using PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau or Cognos for reporting.
  • Ability to learn new technical tools and programs quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to translate data ambiguity into purposeful analysis and results.
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience leading meetings lasting 1-3 hours.

  • Experience with industry, market, and competition analysis.
  • Self-driven and motivated to approach complex analytical questions creatively.

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's Degree.
