Key Responsibilities

Work alongside CT LIVE producer to schedule interviews with local businesses and community leaders
Pitch content ideas for segments
Shoot video while attending on-location shoots
Edit segments for broadcast
Post to CT LIVE's social accounts
Assist with experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Apply prior video editing experience

Requirements

Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the program and be able to provide documentation of degree progress
Current class standing of junior or above (30 credits)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
Willing to work in person at the station in West Hartford, CT
Prior video editing experience
Experience with MS Office tools and social media platforms

Nice to Have

Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred
Comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time
Able to find creative solutions to projects
Responsible, punctual, creative, and professional
Excellent organizational skills
Top-notch written, verbal, and proofreading skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree program with at least junior standing (30 credits)
Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Prior video editing experience
