About the Role

The Network Implementation Program Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing a wide variety of projects involving the outside plant construction of residential fiber. They oversee the construction process from conceptualization to completion, including managing contactors, trade workers, and project managers, while staying within budget and ensuring timely delivery. The role involves monitoring and managing engineering and construction quality, resolving issues, and reporting on project progress. This position is located in Boise, ID, and is part of Lumen's effort to digitally connect the world and shape the future.

Key Responsibilities

End to end project management
Supervise and calibrate with engineering teams, construction supervisors, splicing vendors and contractors
Conduct quality audits of construction work performed
Responsible for workload balancing among resources
Act as the primary liaison between LUMEN and external partners including municipalities and utility companies
Serve as the field interface for engineering or construction
Apply knowledge of utility construction including fiber and conduit placement methods and procedures
Read plans and drawings related to civil and engineering work
Be familiar with underground and aerial utilities
Identify necessary permitting and traffic control for utility construction projects

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience, or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree
Typically 5+ years of professional experience
Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office
Fluent on current approved products and technology

Qualifications

Experience reading plans and drawings, civil and engineering
Knowledge of utility construction including fiber and conduit placement
Ability to identify permitting and traffic control needs
