About the Role

Community is where organic conversations become lasting connections. Whether it's a mention in a Reddit thread, a question on a boating forum, or a story that sparks a Google search, these moments build awareness and trust—often long before a marketing campaign begins. We're looking for a Community Manager to lead Boats Group's efforts to identify, nurture, and grow these conversations. This role collaborates closely with our content, SEO, product, and marketing teams to ensure that community conversations are discovered, engaged thoughtfully, and shared back internally to inform strategy. You'll build systems for monitoring and amplifying meaningful dialogue around our brands, strengthen our presence in GEO search, and bring community insights into the heart of what we build and promote. This is a key role in transforming everyday curiosity into long-term affinity—and helping more people find and connect with Boats Group in the moments that matter most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to identify, nurture, and grow online community conversations across platforms such as Facebook Groups, Reddit, and forums.
  • Collaborate closely with content, SEO, product, and marketing teams to ensure community conversations are discovered, engaged with, and shared internally to inform strategy.
  • Build systems for monitoring and amplifying meaningful dialogue around the brands.
  • Strengthen the company's presence in GEO search and bring community insights into product and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement community management programs that foster long-term engagement and affinity.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in community management, ecosystem marketing, or online engagement.
  • Proven track record of leading successful community programs within high-growth, product-led organizations.
  • Strong background with Facebook Groups, Reddit, and community/lifestyle forums.
  • Strong knowledge of search and AI engine optimization related to online communities.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences and platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both users and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluency in digital moderation, conflict resolution, and enforcing community guidelines with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with social listening and analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Facebook Insights).

Nice to Have

  • Ability to build scalable systems and infrastructure for community operations and measurement.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, content, and marketing leads.
  • Familiarity with boating.
