About the Role

Storehouse Voices, a publishing imprint within the Crown Publishing Group, focuses on amplifying diverse voices, especially underpublished authors and underrepresented narratives. It combines traditional publishing with innovative, community-driven content discovery, leveraging strategic partnerships and direct-to-consumer marketing to connect powerful stories with audiences. The role of Director of Community & Digital Engagement is to build, manage, and grow the online presence and reader community, blending content creation, audience engagement, and influencer partnerships to increase visibility for Storehouse Voices' authors and titles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a social media content calendar across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Create and schedule posts, stories, and reels promoting Storehouse Voices books, authors, and brand initiatives.
  • Actively engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and community discussions.
  • Draft blog content for the web platform highlighting authors, book news, and cultural conversations.
  • Build and moderate digital reader communities such as Facebook Groups, Discord, Goodreads, and online forums.
  • Monitor and manage comments across platforms to ensure a positive and engaging reader experience.
  • Develop polls, discussions, and interactive content to keep the community engaged.
  • Identify and build relationships with book influencers, bloggers, and thought leaders.
  • Develop and manage influencer outreach programs, providing books, promotional content, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Track influencer partnerships and measure engagement and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the ads team to develop digital assets like graphics, video clips, and social ads for book promotions.
  • Draft basic press releases, email marketing copy, and promotional materials for campaigns.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics to refine content strategy and optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Social media expert with the ability to create engaging content and grow online communities.
  • Strong writer and communicator capable of crafting compelling posts, blogs, and promotional copy.
  • Tech-savvy marketer experienced with social scheduling tools, analytics, and influencer outreach platforms.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can manage multiple projects independently.
  • Passionate about books, culture, and digital storytelling with an understanding of audience trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience and/or training.
  • 7-8 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, influencer relations, or community management, preferably in publishing, media, or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms, content creation, and analytics tools.
  • Experience with copywriting, blogging, and email marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing, partnerships, and online engagement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7-8 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, influencer relations, or community management, preferably in publishing, media, or lifestyle brands.
