Operations Project Manager - Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general project management support including developing and maintaining work breakdown structures and project schedules.
• Manage the requirements definition process and interface with technology subject matter experts.
• Manage projects to their on-time completion, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
• Develop business requirements specifications.
• Work with development managers to obtain estimates.
• Facilitate requirements review meetings with the project team and business stakeholders.
• Conduct status meetings and perform risk assessments, tracking action items and providing reporting needed by the Program Management Office.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure high quality and on-time delivery of projects.
• Work with Business Stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are clearly defined, communicated regularly, and that the customer is engaged in the project.
• Work with Quality Management to verify that sufficient test plans have been generated.
• Continually work with Business Stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience managing software development projects using a project management methodology (i.e., Agile, PMI, or PRINCE2).
• Experience in Logistics/Freight Management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, coaching, and mentoring.
• Experience with business requirements development and use cases.
• Excellent project management skills, including meeting facilitation, minute taking, follow-up, and problem resolution.
• Ability to handle non-routine, multi-faceted technical problems.
• Capable of ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting quality requirements.
• Excellent customer service skills and results-driven mindset.
• Experience in the Transportation industry is a plus.
• Project Management PMP credentials, ITIL Framework (or equivalent) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
