About the Role

The PT Intern, Falcon Force Content Creator at Lone Star College-CyFair will have the opportunity to develop engaging content across various social media platforms to increase campus engagement and showcase the achievements and opportunities at the college. The role involves working closely with the Communications Outreach & Engagement Department, collaborating on projects, refining storytelling techniques, and enhancing technical skills to create captivating and impactful content. The position supports the college's mission and cultural values, emphasizing community, learning, and belonging, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling and visually appealing content (photography, videography, graphics) for social media platforms to promote campus engagement, student achievements, programs, events, and opportunities.
  • Engage with the college community through comments, messages, and interactions on social media channels to foster engagement and build relationships that help increase enrollment, retention, and completion.
  • Script and conduct podcasts for the college.
  • Monitor and analyze engagement metrics, reach, and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of content and make data-driven improvements.
  • Conduct research and source relevant content to curate and share with the college community, keeping up with trends, news, and topics of interest.
  • Maintain and submit a weekly project list and content schedule.
  • Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with editing tools such as Capcut and Canva.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share ideas, provide constructive feedback, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and basic knowledge of social media management tools.
  • Working knowledge of office practice and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and common office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be enrolled at LSC-CyFair in good academic standing.

  • Experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Previous experience creating multimedia content for social media.
  • Interest in higher education and community engagement.
