About the Role

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc., to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps, and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering backend systems to shaping product strategy and forming content partnerships, enabling users to buy and access digital content seamlessly across devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, multi-year strategy, and roadmap for game engagement experiences across Play Store.
  • Build a deep understanding about games and gamers across multiple dimensions in collaboration with other Play teams.
  • Define and build end-to-end games engagement experiences across Play surfaces.
  • Collaborate with PM/Engineering teams across Play (Play Store, Play Developer Console, etc.) and with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Go-To-Market, UX, Marketing, Legal, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the games industry especially mobile.
  • Experience defining product vision and multi-year product strategy.
  • Experience designing user facing features, especially products.
  • Strong narrative and storytelling abilities, both internal and external communications.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize and derive implications.

Qualifications

  • Formal educational background as indicated by a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
  • Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
