About the Role

The PP&D Strategy Analyst at CIBC is a role within the Digital, Data, Strategy team in Private, Personal, & Digital Banking. The position involves providing strategic insights, analytics, and thought leadership to support business growth, digital product offerings, and marketing campaigns. The role emphasizes collaboration across various functional areas and requires staying informed about industry trends in digital banking, fraud, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with reporting and analytics related to digital product offerings and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze data and provide meaningful insights within scheduled dashboard reports.
  • Collaborate with different teams to identify reporting needs and support strategic project initiatives.
  • Leverage industry insights and data to assist with digital strategy, analytics, product implementation, and industry research.
  • Partner closely with teams including Technology, Analytics, Marketing, Compliance, Risk, Portfolio Management, and Enterprise teams.

Requirements

  • Interest in consumer banking and emerging digital technology, including trends in open banking, payments, and fraud/risk.
  • Advanced experience with Excel or other data tools such as Tableau, SQL, Power BI.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Prior experience in marketing or finance is an asset.
  • Ability to learn about new technology and banking trends, and adapt to evolving tools and trends.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Effective communication skills to convey detailed information impactfully.
  • Ability to assume significant responsibilities within short time frames.
  • Collaborative mindset and understanding of the value of teamwork.
  • Alignment with company values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.

  • Experience in marketing or finance.

Qualifications

  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL.
  • Organizational skills and risk management knowledge.
