Practitioner Data Steward - Hybrid

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define and rollout enterprise data guidance and standards for the Express Scripts Pharmacy/Practitioner data domain across all business units.
• Partner with legal, compliance, proposal, and audit teams to ensure data stewardship meets privacy, regulatory, and internal audit requirements.
• Support the execution of the organization's data governance operating model.
• Set data stewardship priorities based on business needs, regulatory demands, and data best practices.
• Act as a resident expert in data governance best practices, methodologies, and processes for the Practitioner data domain.
• Work closely with business and technology partners to implement data governance requirements.
• Continuously improve and enhance data governance practices for the Practitioner data domain.
• Collaborate with Evernorth Product teams to implement consistent data governance practices.
• Participate in regulatory compliance efforts to define and implement data governance requirements.
• Manage contractual obligations related to the use and sharing of Practitioner data assets with external parties.
• Share knowledge with external data vendors to promote improved quality of products and services.
• Participate in Enterprise Data Governance forums as applicable.
• Define, implement, and run an enterprise-wide data governance program including best practices.
• Lead strategic initiatives, establish relationships with stakeholders, work cross-functionally, and articulate the business benefits of data governance.

Requirements

• Approximately 10+ years of experience in pharmacy, data stewardship, data policy, and standards development.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in data governance best practices, methods, and operating models.
• Experience in leading a team of data stewards is preferred.
• Solid understanding of healthcare industry and privacy regulatory requirements; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to be an innovator and strategic thinker in the data governance space.
• Ability to perform cross-functionally in a complex, high-paced environment and influence others.
• Familiarity with data security and protection methodologies.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment.
• Proficiency with data tools and concepts such as DataBricks, Teradata, Collibra, Alation, SPC-XL, MicroSoft Office Suite, Mainframe (TSO, JCL, SQL).

• Project Management and/or Six Sigma skills.
