Pre-Press Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the administrative duties as related to the graphics department, specifically for the pre-press development of graphics for all plants.
• Responsible for implementation of electronic file retrieval and archiving to ensure the accurate setup of artwork which will affect the can flow at all metal beverage plants.
• Responsible for artwork development of metal decorating art methods, techniques, pre-press, wet-on-wet applications and scanning.
• Work independently and as part of a team, work under extreme deadline pressure and handle multiple assignments.
• Ensure proper setup and production of film processor.
• Collaborate with other production graphics teams (standards, pilot, INX) and commercial teams.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; with a preference for an associates degree or trade school.
• 2-3 years of print industry experience, with knowledge of graphic principles, pre-press practices, terminology and procedures.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer facing/service skills.
• Ability to recognize and define problems using investigative process.
• Ability to organize and manage priorities, multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Mac products.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and/or other graphics software.

Qualifications

• Hiring Salary Range: $58,400 - $81,560 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
• Travel (up to 10%) and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
