About the Role

Wondery is seeking an experienced, innovative, and strategic Marketing Operations & Strategy Manager to join our Marketing leadership team. This role will serve as a strategic partner across the organization, driving operational excellence and delivering impactful business results and ROI. The position involves overseeing the long-term strategic plan for Wondery Marketing in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Wondery's leadership team, focusing on Content, Commerce, and Advertising. The role requires a strong understanding of strategic & financial planning, operational management, and data analysis to inform decision-making. Based in Los Angeles, CA, the role offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading podcast studio known for character-driven stories and successful distribution of hit shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Wondery's marketing budgets, partnering with finance to develop, analyze, and present annual, quarterly, and monthly reports while identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Lead the strategic goal-setting and campaign prioritization process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scaling delivery mechanisms for measurable results and ROI.
  • Analyze internal and external data to design strategies that drive growth, improve efficiency, and inform key business decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with Wondery's strategic goals.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices across Amazon teams, sharing insights and mechanisms to improve processes and results.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience, with experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with financial and operational planning with a marketing lens.
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Expertise in interpreting data to inform decisions and make recommendations.
  • Experience in the entertainment and media industry, with a deep understanding of content strategy best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and influencing decision-making.

  • Competitive salary ranging from $153,000 to $252,900 per year, depending on market location and experience.
