This role involves designing, developing, and managing activities for specific business products or services from definition through lifecycle management, including complex products or product lines. The position is responsible for the business case and P&L for assigned products, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives, and maximizing customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing product performance.
  • Manage budgets, acquire estimates, and handle requests for funding through the capital process.
  • Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing as products move to production and distribution.
  • Translate and document customer and technical requirements into final product designs, prepare and present comprehensive business cases, and provide detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, revenue potential, customer segments, and opportunities for new products or features.
  • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, service guides, product documentation, results reports/analysis, and project plans.
  • Partner with business, technology, UX teams, and third-party technology partners to design or modify products, ensuring high-quality user experience and alignment with budget and schedule.
  • Work with various teams to develop pricing strategies and negotiate with vendors to improve product cost structure and features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and lifecycle activities.
  • Strong ability to translate customer and technical requirements into product designs.
  • Experience performing market research and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to develop and maintain product roadmaps and documentation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with complex product lines and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of market trends and emerging technologies in communications and technology sectors.
