About the Role

The Supply Chain and Under the Roof Product Team at Whole Foods Market is looking for a driven Principal Product Manager to lead the product roadmap in the eCommerce Operations domain. This role focuses on innovating and simplifying the Team Member experience, supporting their success, and delivering a better customer experience. The role involves providing technological, business, and strategic guidance for WFM's Under the Roof Team Member tech tools, coaching and mentoring team members, and developing long-term strategies to maximize system quality and efficiency. It is based in Austin, Texas, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the build-out of new applications.
Own the translation of business intent, customer needs, and/or technical direction into clear, concise, well-documented business requirements or product backlog for complex applications or product families.
Bridge conversations between business users and development teams using knowledge of complex business processes and technical integration.
Develop longer-term (12 months or more) product roadmap, ensuring alignment with stakeholder business and application objectives.
Identify, describe, and evaluate end user personas, target users, and user journeys, aligning solution delivery to their needs.
Partner with business to develop business cases for solutions, gain stakeholder support and approval, and acquire resources.
Monitor industry trends, stakeholder satisfaction, usage metrics, and identify product/process improvement opportunities.
Influence strategic thinking across the organization, ensuring cross-functional and cross-product collaboration.
Design, segment, and recruit for user testing, A/B testing, interviews, and surveys; synthesize outputs to create actionable insights and drive product improvements.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices; experience with developing software products and technologies.
Working knowledge of complex technical and integration architecture patterns.
Advanced knowledge of application deployment and support processes and tools.
Advanced knowledge of requirements or backlog management software.
Advanced knowledge of product analytics tools, tagging approaches, and interpreting metrics.
Experience developing, publishing, and achieving product roadmaps.
Knowledge of designing, segmenting, and recruiting for user testing, A/B testing, interviews, and user surveys.
Able to effectively present technical information and tell impactful user stories.
Able to work with others in cross-functional settings and with diverse stakeholders.
Able to integrate customer, partner, and technical feedback and performance metrics into product design and development.
Strong writing skills.
Experience leading product management work in enterprise, retail/grocery, or consumer-facing applications.
Demonstrated experience in scaling and operating products with large user bases.
Proven ability to build strong partnerships with UX, engineering, analytics, and business teams.
A track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels.
BA/BS degree and 6-8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant product management experience.
2-4 years leadership experience.
