About the Role

TA Instruments' Product Solutions team develops and champions the implementation of the company's product strategy. The team is composed of highly skilled, motivated, and customer-focused professionals responsible for the growth and health of products in the TA Instruments product portfolio. The Senior Product Manager will lead business planning and execution for the thermal franchise, including defining the portfolio strategy, managing key products throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and collaborating with R&D and commercial teams to deliver successful products and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product lifecycle, making key decisions and adjustments as market and business conditions dictate
  • Investigate, define, and create the product roadmap for key thermal products aligned with the materials characterization strategy
  • Prioritize technologies, markets, and personas to be addressed
  • Establish a compelling vision and strategy to achieve strategic and financial objectives
  • Define product/solution segmentation and positioning
  • Plan and lead new product launches in coordination with sales, marketing, and applications
  • Conduct market research, assess market trends and competitive activities, and identify customer needs
  • Partner with R&D in formulating and executing strategies and plans for new product development
  • Translate market needs into clear business opportunities and product requirements
  • Provide business leadership throughout product development and commercialization
  • Lead commercial product enablement activities, including messaging, competitive analysis, product positioning, training, and sales tools

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of implementing go-to-market product strategies
  • Strong product management experience developing product roadmaps and line plans
  • Expertise in developing customer needs, market requirements, product requirements, and financial models
  • Ability to understand scientific theories guiding technical instrument requirements
  • Leadership, accountability, customer focus, results orientation, team-building, flexibility, and innovation

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within a matrix environment
