Principal Product Manager - Workday AI

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship state of the art AI capabilities or infrastructure.
• Identify highest impact, highest ROI opportunities for AI at Workday, advocate for them within the org, and build or enable other teams to build these capabilities.
• Interface with customers to validate solutions, execute discovery work, and prioritize customer problems.
• Be the product champion externally, and voice of the customer internally.
• Lead through influence and apply strategic understanding of the company's big picture, articulating a compelling vision for AI agents.
• Manage Early Adopter programs across multiple AI initiatives to ensure customer value, referenceability, lessons learned, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with development teams to validate value, drive adoption, and enable field, CX, and implementers on AI work.
• Communicate new capabilities clearly to various audiences.
• Work with product teams to identify value outcomes and measurable metrics to quantify AI investment impact.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with SaaS/B2B.
• Technically proficient (even if not a coder) on how AI and LLM-powered technology works.
• Passion and empathy for customers and a proven track record as a customer advocate.
• Experience managing stakeholders and working collaboratively across functions.
• Experience bringing new product offerings to market.
• Strong focus on user-centric design, data, research, and judgment.
• Ability to make decisions with minimal information and operate successfully across multiple functions.
• Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience at AI-centric or data-centric companies is a plus.
• Previous early-stage startup experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly about customer pain points and complex issues.
