About the Role

TA Instruments, a division of Waters Corporation, is seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Product Marketing Manager to lead the development, execution, and optimization of marketing strategies that drive product success across diverse industries. TA Instruments serves markets including Advanced Materials, Batteries, Life Sciences, and Electronics, providing materials characterization and services to enable innovations. The role involves driving product launches, crafting messaging and positioning, and developing multi-channel marketing campaigns to enhance product adoption and customer satisfaction. The position reports to the Senior Director of Global Digital Marketing and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, segment marketers, digital strategists, scientific experts, and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for product launches, aligning with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and impactful delivery.
  • Partner with regional teams to adapt global marketing strategies for local market needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and cultural considerations.
  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external marketing partners, fostering collaboration to execute strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Create compelling, differentiated, customer-focused messaging and positioning tailored to target markets and audiences.
  • Define and refine customer personas, journey maps, and segmentation strategies to guide targeted marketing efforts.
  • Engage with customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and internal stakeholders to gather insights, validate messaging, and enhance/refine market positioning.
  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation.
  • Drive customer onboarding and adoption through targeted marketing efforts, ensuring seamless integration and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Segment Marketing, and Applications teams to align marketing initiatives with product features and market demands.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate marketing strategies, identify growth opportunities, inform product positioning, and shape marketing plans.
  • Partner with Product Management to develop and deliver sales enablement tools, including presentations, case studies, and sales playbooks, to support customer acquisition and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, marketing, or related experience.
  • Proven track record of leading successful product launches and driving market adoption in highly technical industries.
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in crafting GTM strategies, value propositions, and customer-centric messaging.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience leveraging data to guide decisions and measure marketing performance.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, and cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in materials characterization technologies or services, including thermal analysis or rheology.
  • Knowledge of advanced materials, battery, life sciences, or electronics segments.
