Principal Program Manager - Product Innovation

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Innovation Engine by architecting and continuously improving Boost Mobile's innovation pipeline, ensuring the capture of impactful big ideas.
• Design, refine, and optimize processes and tools to keep the innovation system fast, efficient, and high-performing.
• Oversee the entire innovation funnel, ensuring ideas progress smoothly through structured stage-gates and align with strategic goals.
• Partner with business divisions and external technology firms to evaluate early-stage ideas, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes for potential application to Boost Mobile's consumer market.
• Define, track, and report on key innovation performance metrics to keep leadership informed of progress, challenges, and successes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to bring innovation ideas to life for Boost Mobile's consumers.
• Showcase successes through engaging newsletters, reports, and presentations to maintain leadership and cross-functional team engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) from an accredited college or university; MBA strongly preferred.
• PMP certification or equivalent experience managing large, complex programs across business units and shared service groups.
• 10+ years of program management experience managing consumer-facing innovation programs from concept to launch.
• 5+ years of experience building and managing an innovation pipeline and designing proprietary KPIs to track innovation health.
• 5+ years of experience presenting complex programs and strategic insights to C-suite executives and senior leadership.
• A visionary mindset with the ability to architect innovation engines that drive business impact.
• Experience managing and optimizing innovation funnels, tracking effectiveness, and ensuring high-impact ideas are realized.
• A data-driven approach with the ability to measure KPIs, track progress, and make insights-based recommendations.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to sell the story of innovation and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Strategic execution skills to align teams, enforce stage-gates, and push concepts toward implementation.
• Collaborative working style with product, engineering, and strategy teams to translate innovation efforts into consumer impact.
• Problem-solving resilience, creativity, and grit to navigate complex challenges and ambiguity.
