Job Description

About the Role

The Sales Solution Architect will lead the development of Whole Health solutions for Medicaid and public-sector clients, spanning data analytics, care coordination, stakeholder engagement, and system integration. This role combines healthcare domain expertise with technical leadership to deliver scalable, compliant solutions aligned with key state priorities including managed care oversight, cost containment, behavioral health integration, and justice-involved populations. The architect works cross-functionally with business development, product, and delivery teams to translate policy goals and program requirements into actionable, interoperable system designs that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of Population Health Management (PHM) technology solutions, with a primary focus on state Medicaid programs and support for commercial healthcare clients as needed.
  • Develop compliant, compelling solutions for formal RFPs and custom-tailored proposals, ensuring alignment with client priorities such as managed care oversight, PCMH models, behavioral health integration, and health equity.
  • Translate complex program and technical requirements into scalable data, analytics, and care coordination architectures that meet Medicaid and public-sector client needs.
  • Support integration of healthcare data using standards such as FHIR and HL7 to enable longitudinal member records, care gap identification, and population segmentation.
  • Leverage platforms such as Databricks and other cloud-native tools to architect high-performing solutions that support predictive modeling, quality improvement, and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with business development, product, and delivery teams throughout the proposal lifecycle contributing to technical narratives, solution pricing, and implementation planning.
  • Engage directly with Medicaid agency leaders and other healthcare decision-makers to understand policy goals, funding priorities, and operational constraints.
  • Stay current on federal Medicaid guidance, CMS innovation programs, and industry trends to help shape the organization's strategy and solutions portfolio.
  • Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior team members, ensuring consistency and quality in solution design across opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare IT, public health, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in healthcare technology, consulting, or solution development.
  • Demonstrated experience developing technical solutions for RFPs and tailored proposals in the healthcare market, particularly for state Medicaid agencies.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, cloud-based analytics platforms, and data modeling approaches in a healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST).
  • Experience supporting Medicaid transformation initiatives, including 1115 waivers, AHEAD, or DSRIP programs.
  • Background in integrating medical, behavioral, and SDOH data into analytics or care coordination solutions.
  • Familiarity with public procurement processes and Medicaid regulatory environments.
  • Understanding of value-based care, Medicaid managed care, PCMHs, and other public-sector care delivery models.

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare technology, consulting, or solution development.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year, with variation based on region and experience.
