About the Role

The Product Line Manager (PLM) role at Amphenol High Speed Products Group involves managing the product line's P&L, identifying target markets and customers, building strong technical and business relationships, and working cross-functionally to develop and bring solutions to market. The position is based in Nashua, NH, within a company that is a market leader in high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market, supporting major OEMs globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify target markets and customers to help grow the product line.
  • Visit and support customers, building strong technical and business relationships both internally and externally.
  • Work with Development Engineering, Sales, and customers to identify marketplace needs for product derivatives, expansions, or new products.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to develop solutions and bring them to market.
  • Develop and drive pricing strategy, capital investment strategy, and work with manufacturing to optimize supply chain costs.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and value engineering projects with Product, Process, and Development Engineering.
  • Drive improvement in the product line P&L by working with plants, Finance, and Engineering to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Leverage internal cost/process engineering teams to develop pricing strategies that achieve target profit margins throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support regional sales teams through product training to increase product knowledge.
  • Monitor industry standards and initiatives to stay ahead of market needs.
  • Support new business development by traveling to customers and participating in video calls.
  • Work with Sales and Engineering to ensure campaign deliverables are met on time.
  • Generate business proposals and contracts, negotiate win/win solutions with customers.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events as applicable.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering; MBA or related finance, operations, or marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong financial, marketing, and business acumen.
  • Experience working with multiple levels of the organization and across functional groups.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive projects/tasks to closure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Flexible and able to communicate across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated, ethical, and seeking career growth.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in high speed/high bandwidth electrical connectors or related markets.
  • Additional technical certifications or advanced degrees.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering.
