About the Role

The Product Management Director for Salesforce Success Plans for M&As is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and launch of Success Plans tailored for acquired companies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to assess customer needs, develop business cases, and ensure successful integration and delivery of Success Plans that enhance customer value across Salesforce's portfolio, especially in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thought-leadership via the offer strategy & vision for acquisitions.
  • Become an expert in acquired companies, products, support/success portfolios, and GTM strategies to develop comprehensive launch proposals for Success Plans.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce GTM, M&A, Corporate Development, finance, product/engineering, and Customer Success teams to develop business cases for acquisitions.
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder research to establish the relevance of Success Plans for acquisitions, rationalize feature sets, and assess willingness to pay.
  • Deliver detailed business cases including financial modeling (resource costs, investment vs monetization, margins) and transition plans for launching Success Plans.
  • Create concise slide decks to secure senior leadership alignment on recommendations.
  • Assess and reexamine existing Success Plans features post-acquisition to identify enhancements that benefit all Salesforce customers.

Requirements

  • Must be customer-obsessed, curious, and empathic, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Self-organized with the ability to initiate and complete tasks independently.
  • 10+ years of management consulting experience in GTM, M&A, post-sales transformation, or new product/services introduction.
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, document POVs, and drive decisions based on data and logical reasoning.
  • Proficiency in creating work product-focused materials such as slide decks and financial models.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, including senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing cross-functional teams without direct managerial authority.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Salesforce products and technologies.
  • MBA degree.
  • Prior product management experience in SaaS, public cloud, or large enterprise B2B software.
  • Experience in Support, Success, or Services product management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting or related fields.

  • Base salary range in Illinois: $177,600 to $257,600
