This position is with Marley Engineered Products, a marketplace leader in innovative comfort heating and ventilation solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets, offering a portfolio including baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters, ceiling fans, and air circulators, creating simplified heating solutions for complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned product lines including product positioning, enhancement, and in-market execution through sales teams and channel partners.
  • Develop the product strategy to ensure effective management of the product portfolio in meeting the needs of the market and supporting business goals.
  • Manage product positioning and performance through analysis of sales, margin, competitive strategy, channel / brand strategy, market share and churn.
  • Determine revenue, pricing strategy, and margin projections for range of products and achieve revenue and margin growth.
  • Manage product data and develop market materials and information to ensure that the sales force is aware of new and relevant developments in the market.
  • Scope the business requirements, market needs, competitive environment & objectives of each product.
  • Gather and review market segmentation, market share, sizing analysis for range of products, applications, and channels.
  • Gather and review competitive analysis to understand competitor offering, technical capabilities, market position, value proposition, and patents.
  • Collaborate with the field sales force to assess the response to and suitability of promotional material, and to ensure that promotional material is being used optimally.
  • Develop technical marketing collateral (white papers, CEUs, Tech bulletins) to support marketing efforts.
  • Support change management for product functions supporting product integration, launches, and changes.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams including engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and legal to ensure product success.
  • Lead and/or partner in the development, approval, and communication of business cases, including financial evaluations and market analyses.
  • Provide the sales team with technical expertise and sales tools, including promotional materials and product training.
  • Create product roadmaps and execute product strategies and business plans to maintain an optimal product range.
  • Manage the NPI/VAVE process to ensure timely delivery of relevant projects.
  • Lead the line review process and develop, set, and execute new product launch plans based on market assessments.
  • Lead products through the New Product Introduction stage gate process.
  • Assess and implement VAVE activities for product evolution and relevance.
  • Establish, monitor, and determine key performance indicators for key products and projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product management, brand management, market management, or engineering management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects and efforts.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and manage cross-functional negotiations.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to assess and present complex problems in a structured, simplified manner.
  • High level of critical thinking in process analysis and problem resolution.
  • Ability to manage change effectively and demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Access to high-speed internet, phone service, and proximity to an airport.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the industrial process industry.
  • Success in B2B business strategies (B2B + B2C preferred).
  • Experience in channel and/or brand management across multiple channels or brands.
  • Experience managing product portfolios from introduction to sun-setting.
  • Highly-engineered solutions experience such as electric heating, cooling, air handling, or process heating.
  • Experience using market, channel, industry, and commercial intelligence for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
