About the Role

The Product Manager - ERP, AI, Payroll at Trimble Viewpoint will guide a team focused on improving construction payroll workflows within the company's ERP solutions. The role involves developing new products, enhancing existing ones, and leveraging business and accounting expertise to create innovative solutions for construction accounting professionals. The position requires understanding customer problems, defining product requirements, and collaborating across departments to execute product strategies that align with overall company goals and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Product Strategy: Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the construction payroll product, including project/sprint management, requirements gathering, support orchestration, and business partner relationship management.
  • Deeply Understand Construction Payroll: Become a subject matter expert in construction payroll intricacies such as certified payroll, prevailing wages, union rules, multi-state taxes, job costing, labor burden, and fringe benefits.
  • Prioritize & Roadmap: Develop and manage the strategic roadmap integrating AI-driven insights and business processes within construction ERP, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to tactical initiatives.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with other product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to develop and maintain product and feature roadmaps.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market plans, coordinate with departments, and analyze potential partner relationships.
  • Be a Product Evangelist: Communicate the value and benefits of the payroll product to internal stakeholders and external customers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or relevant fields.
  • Strong domain expertise in payroll, especially construction-specific payroll challenges and regulations such as prevailing wages, certified payroll, union rules, and job costing.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles related to payroll and labor costing.
  • Experience with SaaS products in the construction technology space.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Deep understanding of financial payroll workflows and accounting methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional initiatives with effective prioritization.
  • Experience in data analytics and visualization.
  • Experience managing project backlogs and prioritization.

Nice to Have

  • CPP certification.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant fields.
