In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. As the AI landscape rapidly evolves, we are having an extraordinary opportunity to evolve Gmail into a more personalized and agentic partner to help people achieve their goals using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Our team is at the forefront of leveraging AI to solve key user problems in core customer journeys like information consumption and content creation, bringing the power of Gemini to Gmail to create delightful AI-powered experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of delightful user experiences, leveraging a hypothesis and experimentation-driven process to learn.
  • Own the product goal and strategy for leveraging AI to solve user problems in core Gmail workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineers to drive data excellence for AI/Generative AI (GenAI) features, including data creation, training, evaluation, metrics, and quality.
  • Define quarterly goals and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Own and define the project roadmap to achieve them.
  • Lead product requirements/definition and drive execution in collaboration with Cross-Functional (XFN) partners such as Engineering, User Experience, Data Science, User Experience Research, and Program Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience delivering 0->1 products.
  • Experience with AI/ML and LLMs, including applications, prompt engineering, training, evaluation, and quality.
  • Ability to be comfortable with diving into data and metrics.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by work location, skills, experience, and education.
  • Additional benefits are available, details of which can be shared during the hiring process.
