About the Role

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. You will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for core experiences that foster connections and drive conversation and sharing engagement among YouTube users. You will drive the idea and execution for high-impact features that are central to how users interact and connect on YouTube, working with design, UXR, engineering, and data science. You will partner with teams across YouTube to unlock new connecting moments for users. Key Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy, goals, roadmap, and success metrics for sharing and conversation features.
  • Understand user needs, translating insights into compelling product experiences.
  • Build intuitive experiences leveraging to empower connection and drive engagement and creation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and research teams to bring product goals to life.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to measure performance, identify improvement areas, and iterate on the product experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking consumer focused technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
  • Experience using data to inform product decisions.
  • Experience with creator-focused products or social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of YouTube's platform ecosystem, creators, and viewers.
  • Ability to translate user needs and business objectives into detailed product specifications and roadmaps.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and data science.
