Product Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support sales through our account and business developer sales teams.
• Work together with customers and our sales force to discern their needs and how to best equip them for success.
• Develop direct customer relationships with sales team and product manufacturers.
• Manage sales relationships with Dexterity's customers and meet sales and business development quotas.
• Travel up to 30% within the United States to work hands-on with customers in various environments.
• Raise Dexterity awareness by introducing our technology to customers throughout the U.S. and globally if needed.
• Understand account potential, competition, and business issues.
• Identify key applications for developing customer trust and differentiation.
• Work with key individuals to formalize the process for evaluating Dexterity product solutions, including application testing, qualification, demonstration, and installation.
• Conduct product demonstrations at all stages of the sales process.
• Identify methods for continuously updating customers about Dexterity's latest products, technologies, solutions, and successes through various marketing channels.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a background in automation, software, electronics, optics, or a related field.
• A background in connectivity, safety items, sensor fundamentals, and industrial networks.
• A minimum of two (2) years sales or customer service experience in a technical field.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, with solid business, technical, and application-solving aptitude.
• Sales presentation skills and ability to manage consistently to a common plan.
• General understanding of any programming language, such as Java, C++, MATLAB, Python, etc.
• Experience with software tools including Microsoft Office and VISIO.

Nice to Have

• Experience with industrial networks and automation systems.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages like Java, C++, MATLAB, Python.
• Experience in technical sales or customer service in automation or robotics fields.

Qualifications

• Educational background in engineering, automation, software, electronics, optics, or related fields.
• At least two years of sales or customer service experience in a technical environment.

• Annual base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000, determined based on experience and skills.
