Key Responsibilities

Partner with sales to provide expertise and answer questions regarding products and services.
Demonstrate how products and services can solve customer issues and create sales opportunities.
Develop strategic relationships with vendors, including negotiations, pricing, terms of sale, freight, and rebates.
Develop new products from concept to implementation.
Forecast, prospect, and bid for new business, customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
Provide field training and consultation to sales personnel on product information.
Promote and reinforce the company's image as a total solutions provider.

Requirements

Operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle, with operation exceeding 20% of the work week.
An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report, as Core & Main will run a report for selected candidates.
Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.
Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification may be required in some areas.
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies in complex research/data.
Work requires increasing independence with guidance only on unusual or complex problems.
May provide guidance or training to junior personnel.

Nice to Have

Experience in contract negotiation.
Knowledge of customer business needs.

Qualifications

BS/BA in a related discipline or MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience.
Certification in some areas.
