As a Product Specialist Analyst, you will support the Alternatives Product Specialist in maintaining the Alternatives platform, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities across all asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and real estate private markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge across all asset classes, with a focus on hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and real estate private markets.
  • Work with the Product Specialist and Product Development teams to structure all aspects of alternative investment offerings, including dialogues with fund managers.
  • Create and/or maintain marketing and distribution materials on alternative investment processes, philosophy, and portfolio construction methodologies.
  • Develop tools to help portfolio teams communicate and present consistent investment messages.
  • Coordinate the fundraising process for alternative investment offerings to Wealth and Private Banking clients.
  • Provide frequent investment updates and market commentary to client-facing staff.
  • Support post-investment activities, including hosting regular update calls/meetings with fund managers.
  • Identify and help implement product and process improvements for the Alternatives platform.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in sales or marketing business.
  • Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 certifications.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of modern portfolio theory and main asset classes (bonds, equities, alternative investments).
  • Developed verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and very organized.
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or business.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (HSBC will not sponsor immigration for this position).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with fund managers and alternative investment offerings.
  • Knowledge of fundraising processes and client communication strategies.

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or business.
  • Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 certifications.
