About the Role

The Product Specialist supports the assigned Product Manager(s) in shaping, executing, and growing the fiber product portfolio. The role involves product issue resolution, providing analytics to support product line initiatives, monitoring product performance, maximizing profitability, and managing inventory. The position is based in Minneapolis, MN, and offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for internal product line pricing, order information, and documentation requests, collaborating with Applications Engineering and Quality to respond to Customer Cases and supporting sales activities.
  • Review product issues and collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure they are resolved, including researching customer return merchandise authorization (RMA) requests, determining re-sale probability, restocking fees, and recommending product or process improvements.
  • Analyze inventory reports and make recommendations to the Product Manager to address slow-moving inventory, minimize inventory costs and obsolescence, review daily gross margin performance reports, and collaborate with Operations on product availability and inventory requirements.
  • Participate in product line forecasting by providing data and insights, and support other tasks as assigned to ensure smooth product support and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Three years of related product support experience preferred.
  • Developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally with various staff levels and external contacts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • CRM experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Modern ERP systems, specifically Epicor preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
