Job Description

About the Role

The Production Artist 2, Graphic Digital Design role at NIKE involves working within the Apparel Graphic Production team to create and finalize production-ready graphic files for various sports products. The position reports to the Studio Senior Manager and collaborates with Graphic Production Artists, Graphic Designers, and cross-functional partners such as Apparel Design, Product Management, Technical Development, and Material Development. The role focuses on supporting seasonal product creation across multiple sport dimensions, emphasizing technical accuracy and detailed graphic schematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product, from on-athlete to retail.
  • Attend Production Art meetings and align on project goals.
  • Generate high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation.
  • Develop documentation for downstream partners and review strike-offs.
  • Track and maintain updates on all relevant files to ensure accuracy through final approval.
  • Leverage 2D and 3D tools to support graphic design and production processes.
  • Learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates.
  • Strong listening, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Laser focus on critical details that often get missed.
  • Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities.
  • Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta).
  • Understanding of tools like Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro is a plus.
  • A love for design is essential; a love for sports is a bonus.
