Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of the program life cycle, as well as grow and position the program for emerging opportunities.
  • Lead a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporate the necessary internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to achieve excellence in execution and develop further opportunities within the customer community.
  • Manage all program activities and lead program review sessions with internal and external customers to deliver cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establish and manage the program and subordinate baselines.
  • Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements.
  • Develop and adhere to budget baselines for cost & schedule control.
  • Identify, allocate, and manage program resources, including workforce planning.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
  • Support the larger organization in identifying, developing, and realizing organic and adjacent growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience or Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a program manager, deputy PM, or IPT/functional team lead on programs developing and delivering hardware and/or software.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, including engineering and management.
  • Experience establishing relationships and managing customer expectations.
  • Experience leading a software development program(s) using Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience assigning and monitoring team and individual tasking to meet contractual requirements on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience leading in a government (preferably DoD) contracting environment.
  • Business acumen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Ability to work on-site in Orlando, Florida.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of the satellite communications domain, particularly Wideband Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM).
  • General understanding of technical concepts of systems engineering, IT infrastructure, networking, software development, cybersecurity, networking, virtualization, and configuration management.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Master's degree in Business or a Software/Engineering discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Educational qualifications as specified in the requirements (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
