About the Role

We are currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team at the Brunswick Corporate HQ in Mettawa, IL. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the successful execution and launch of complex Autonomy and Connectivity development projects in line with established product goals and objectives. This role is tasked with ensuring that new product development projects meet the established goals with clear focus on cost, timing, and risk identification and mitigation. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal leader and single point of accountability for cross-functional teams managing complex, high-priority programs at the Corporate HQ.
  • Oversee all phases of project execution—from definition and concept selection through validation and production—ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Enforce Brunswick's High Performance Product Development (HPPD) stage gate process, including timely gate reviews and decision records.
  • Manage project critical paths, risks, and issues, applying escalation protocols and formal change control as needed.
  • Track and report financials, including expense, capital, and labor forecasts across multiple projects.
  • Conduct regular status reviews with leadership and ensure documentation of lessons learned and root cause analyses.
  • Lead a mix of large HPPD and custom product quote/release projects, applying standard methodologies and decision guidelines to drive consistency and best practices.
  • Support portfolio planning by defining project scope and resource needs based on benchmarks and stakeholder input.
  • Coordinate validation builds in collaboration with New Product Introduction planning teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent.
  • Excellent working knowledge of project management.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management following a stage gate product development process.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership of complex electronics and software development projects.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) or a willingness to achieve within 1 year of hire.

Nice to Have

  • Passion for boating and/or fishing a plus.
  • Direct experience with Autonomy and Connectivity products.
  • Some experience in other functional areas related to product management or product development.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
