About the Role

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is a world leader in interconnect solutions for Communications, Mobile, RF, Optics, and Commercial electronics markets. The position is based in Valley Green, PA, within the High Speed Products Group, which specializes in high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market, supporting major Tier 1 OEMs worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer communication, project planning, project budget, and project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership for new product development projects with high complexity.
  • Ensure products and technologies are delivered according to market and customer expectations regarding specifications, timing, and budget.
  • Manage the project team, contribute to project scope and objectives, and ensure completion of all project steps.
  • Serve as the communication interface to customers for project status, schedule, and requirements.
  • Manage and provide technical leadership to project teams across multiple sites during product development.
  • Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address action items and keep projects on schedule.
  • Manage internal and external suppliers to ensure timely completion of actions.
  • Communicate resource requirements to management to keep projects on schedule.
  • Define product specifications and project scope aligned with market and customer needs.
  • Ensure projects meet financial objectives, including capital requests, product costing, and scope management.
  • Make decisions to accelerate processes and optimize time to market, volume, and profitability.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles during product development.
  • Perform capacity planning throughout project phases to meet expected demand.
  • Provide regular project updates to functional management.
  • Set up systems for ordering and manufacturing of products.
  • Manage and mitigate risks using risk reduction tools to maintain project objectives and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university.
  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training within the connector industry (preferred).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical product drawings and procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to management questions.
  • Strong customer communication and expectation management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle practical issues with limited standardization.
  • Proficiency with project management software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams worldwide.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and provide project updates.
  • Experience with root cause analysis.
