Job Description

About the Role

The purpose of the role is to manage the project 'Accelerate the Elimination of Child Labour, Improving Working Conditions and Empowering Families in Jasmine Supply Chain in Egypt' (ACCEL Egypt - Harvesting the Future). The Project Coordinator will ensure seamless integration and quality of deliverables in line with the Country Strategy. The role involves designing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities, managing partnerships, maintaining good working relationships with local partners, and ensuring timely and quality delivery of project objectives, including budget monitoring to meet Plan and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the project to ensure its objectives are achieved in line with the detailed implementation plan.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and report on the progress of project activities.
  • Manage partnerships and maintain good working relationships with local partners to ensure quality delivery.
  • Act as the link between target beneficiaries and all stakeholders critical to the project's success.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of project activities.
  • Monitor the implementation of activities and oversee budget management to meet organizational and donor requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing development or humanitarian projects, preferably related to child labour, economic resilience, or community development.
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor project activities effectively.
  • Strong partnership management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Good budget management and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Understanding of child protection issues and working with vulnerable communities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in Egypt or similar contexts.
  • Knowledge of the jasmine supply chain or agricultural livelihoods.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in development, social sciences, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in project management within development or humanitarian sectors.
