Job Description

About the Role

The purpose of the role is to manage the project 'Accelerate the Elimination of Child Labour, Improving Working Conditions and Empowering Families in Jasmine Supply Chain in Egypt' (ACCEL Egypt - Harvesting the Future). The Project Coordinator will ensure seamless integration and quality of deliverables in line with the Country Strategy. The role involves designing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities, managing partnerships, maintaining good working relationships with local partners, and ensuring timely and quality delivery of project objectives, including budget monitoring. The project aims to strengthen the economic resilience of vulnerable families engaged in the jasmine supply chain in Gharbia Governorate, Egypt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the project activities in line with the detailed implementation plan, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and report on project progress and deliverables.
  • Manage partnerships and maintain good working relationships with local partners to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including target beneficiaries, to ensure project success.
  • Monitor the project budget to ensure compliance with Plan International and donor requirements.
  • Ensure integration of economic empowerment interventions with child protection efforts to reduce reliance on child labour.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management, preferably in development or humanitarian contexts.
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor project activities and report on progress.
  • Strong partnership management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Budget monitoring and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Understanding of child labour issues and economic resilience programs in Egypt is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with NGOs or in similar project environments.
  • Knowledge of the jasmine supply chain or similar agricultural supply chains.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in project coordination or management.
  • Educational background relevant to development, social sciences, or related fields.
